Seasonal Cleanup

City of Norman Collects Christmas Trees for Composting

The City of Norman Sanitation Division will be picking up Christmas trees for composting on the regular yard waste pickup schedule. These should be kept separate from your storm debris from the October storm.

Only natural trees that are free of tree stands and all trimmings (decorations, ornaments, tinsel and lights) will be collected for recycling. Artificial trees, trees in bags, or trees with trimmings will be collected with the garbage and transported to the landfill. If the tree is more than 6 feet in length, it should be cut in half before placing it at the curbside.

Christmas trees can also be taken to the Compost Facility at 398 Bratcher Miner Road during normal hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
