The Westwood Swim team introduces young swimmers to the fundamentals of competitive swimming. Swimmers will be introduced to the four competitive strokes – butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle.
Improve life-safety skills, increase confidence and social interaction, promote a healthy lifestyle, accomplish goals, and develop a competitive spirit with good sportsmanship.
Participants will have the opportunity to compete at non-competitive swim meets on Saturdays.
To register for the Westwood Swim Team you can sign up at the front desk of the Aquatic Facility or online.
A Parent Meeting and Swimmer Try Outs will take place at 6 pm on May 28 at the Westwood Family Aquatic Center (FREE before signing up).

Requirements
The swimmer must be 6-18 years old and able to swim 25-yards on their front and 25 yards on their back.
Season
June 2 to August 9
Participants will meet either from 5:30 to 6:15 pm or 6:30 to 7:30 pm, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Times will be determined by the coach following the results of tryouts.
