Splash!

"Splash!" was completed and installed at the entrance to the Westwood Park facilities in December 2017.  The selected art piece depicts a large ball splashing into water.

Prairie Wind

Prairie Wind was completed and installed at the Norman Public Library East location in July of 2018. 

The Norman Public Library East branch celebrated the summer solstice on Friday, June 21, 2019. The Prairie Wind sculpture was designed to align with the path of the sun on the summer solstice each year.

Unbound 

The dedication ceremony for the monumental art piece, Unbound, at the new Norman Public Library Central was held on July 25, 2019.

London-based artist, Paul Cocksedge, has had his work has been featured internationally.

The 45 foot sculpture is made of aluminium rolled to depict paper lifted by the wind. 

 

Mechan 14

The towering robot creation greets visitors to Reaves Park and is the latest iconic piece in Norman’s burgeoning collection of public art. 

For a unique spin and reflective of Reaves Park’s history of hosting youth baseball as well as the Medieval Fair each spring, Norman’s Mechan comes with unique accessories that allow it to be transformed from a helmeted ballplayer holding a bat to an armored knight armed with a sword on a seasonal basis. Mechan 14 by Tyler FuQua Creations was dedicated on Tuesday, December 5th 2023, at Reaves Park, 2501 Jenkins Ave, Norman.
