The annual ‘Click It or Ticket’ traffic enforcement and education project runs from May 24 to June 6. Aimed at enforcing seat belt use to help keep families safe, the national seat belt campaign aims to increase awareness during the start of the busy travel season.

The Norman Police Department, in partnership with Absolute Data Shredding, the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, and Safe Kids Oklahoma will host an event for residents looking to dispose of unwanted documents, prescription drugs, and ammunition. The event will also offer car seat installs and checks to attendees. The NPD Police Community Partnership Day is scheduled for Saturday, May 8 from 8 a.m. to Noon in the parking lot of Andrews Park at the corner of Daws Street and James Garner Avenue.
