City of Norman Invites Residents to a Survivor Tree Ceremony Sunday

The City of Norman invites residents to join Norman Mayor Breea Clark, OKC Mayor David Holt and representatives from the OKC National Memorial and Museum for a ceremony in remembrance of the 25th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing at Andrews Park, located at 201 W Daws St., on Sunday, April 25 at 3:00 p.m.

In honor of Norman residents who are Survivors, first responders, and family members of the victims of the Oklahoma City Bombing, the City of Norman has obtained 25 Survivor Tree saplings to be planted in City of Norman Parks. The Parks Department will work with Norman Survivors, family members, and first responders to select a park and a timeline for planting the trees in their honor.

This ceremony was initially planned for April of last year but was postponed due to the COVID -19 pandemic.
