Special Services

Interpreter: Deaf and Hearing-Impaired

Upon request, the Court will appoint a certified interpreter to interpret the proceedings to the deaf or hearing-impaired person and interpret their  testimony or statement and to assist in preparation with counsel. Request forms are on file in the Court Clerk's office.

Interpreter: Language

Upon request, the Court will appoint a certified interpreter to interpret proceedings for persons who neither speak nor understand English and interpret their testimony or statement and to assist in preparations with counsel. Fees charged to the court by the language interpreter are assessed to the defendant. Request forms are on file in the Court Clerk's office.

Court Appointed Attorney

Upon request, the Court will appoint an attorney to represent a defendant who is determined to be indigent. Affidavit of Indigency forms are on file in the Court Clerk's office.

Appeals Procedure

Upon request, the Court will assist defendants who are not represented by an attorney in completing a Notice of Appeal Form and will inform defendants of the procedures for filing the appeal in the District Court of Cleveland County.
