With a mission to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community, the United Way of Norman fights for better education, financial stability, and health for every person in their community. They fund 39 programs at 27 organizations in the Norman area and provide services to the community through programs and community initiatives like the ABC School Supply Program, Student United Way LEAD and the FamilyWize discount drug cards. They serve almost 60,000 every year through community donations. For volunteer opportunities, visit their website.
Norman Public Schools
At Norman Public Schools, we understand the difference volunteers make in our students' lives. Consistent community engagement and volunteerism are critical to our success. When schools, parents, families, and communities work together to support learning, students benefit from higher academic performance, consistent attendance, social and emotional wellbeing, and a sense of belonging. The experience for volunteers is equally rewarding. We also understand your time is valuable, which is why we offer volunteer opportunities that fit every schedule. We encourage you to sign up today!
