The Norman Police Department (NPD) responded to a report of a shooting in the 4100 block of W. Main Street at approximately 4:23 p.m. on June 18. 

Once on scene, officers located one individual with an apparent gunshot wound in the roadway. Officers immediately began rendering aid. The individual was transported by EMSSTAT to an area hospital.

One individual was detained at the scene. No involved subjects are believed to be at large at this time.  

The incident remains under investigation by the NPD Criminal Investigations Division.
