The Norman Police Department responded to a report of a shooting at a business in the 1800 block of W. Lindsey Street at approximately 4:22 p.m. Wednesday. Once on scene, officers located one adult male with a gunshot wound inside the business. The male was transported to an area hospital. His condition remains unknown.

The initial investigation shows that the male entered the business with a firearm and was in the process of robbing the business when he was shot by an armed employee. 

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
