City of Norman Statement on Passing of Ward 2 Councilmember David Perry

The City of Norman is saddened to announce the passing of Council Member David Perry on Saturday.

“It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my colleague and fellow Councilmember,” said Mayor Breea Clark. “I was impressed by his dedication to his ward and vision for our city. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this difficult time.”

David Perry, aged 60, served as the Councilmember for Ward 2 since taking office in July. Perry also served as chairman of the Economic Development Advisory Board.

The City of Norman expects to make further announcements about the Ward 2 succession plans in the coming days.
