Join the Parks and Recreation Department in dancing the night away for the 2022 “Welcome to the Jungle” themed Mother-Son Dance! The fun kicks off at 6:30 p.m. May 7 at Embassy Suites, 2501 Conference Drive, and tickets are $15 per person: https://cityofnorman.thundertix.com/events/196817.

Attendees are encouraged to dress as a rocker, jungle animal, safari adventurer or all three!

Recreation Manager Veronica Tracy described the event as “jungle meets 80’s rock!” and hopes a wonderful time is had by all.

“We are so excited to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with this fun-filled evening we’ve planned for mothers and sons,” Tracy said. “It’s a time to enjoy some laughs and make some special memories together.”

The evening will include dancing and light refreshments. The dance will be simulcast at 6:30 p.m. on KREF SportsTalk Radio on their App or at 1400 AM and 99.3 FM for those that would like to join the party from home! Tickets will not be required for those who participate from home. T-shirts can be purchased at the dance on a first-come, first-served basis and a professional photographer will be present for those who are interested in purchasing photography packages.

Norman Parks & Recreation appreciates the sponsorship of Craig & Streight Orthodontics, Rod Polston, Cavins Construction, Nexus Productions, SportsTalk, and Armstrong Bank for helping make the event possible.
