City Administrative Offices to close for Independence Day

City of Norman Administrative Offices will be closed on Monday, July 4, 2022, in observance of the Independence Day Holiday.



Sanitation services, including recycling and commercial pickup, will still occur and be on regular schedule on Monday, July 4, 2022. The Compost facility and the Transfer Station will be open regular hours on Monday, July 4, 2022. See more information on Sanitation services and facilities here or by calling 405.329.1023.



The City transit service – EMBARK Norman – will not operate on Monday, July 4, 2022. Find additional information here.


Parks & Recreation

Recreation Centers and community centers will be closed Monday, July 4, 2022.

Westwood Park and all amenities – golf, tennis and the Family Aquatic Center – will also be open regular business hours on Monday, July 4, 2022. See hours and more information here.


Residents are reminded that fireworks are prohibited in Norman City limits, in accordance with Chapter 9 of Norman City Code. All are welcome to attend the 2022 Fourth Fest at Reaves Park from 5 to 10 p.m. on Monday, July 4, 2022, which will feature family fun, live music and the largest professional fireworks display in the state of Oklahoma!

Normal business hours for all City of Norman offices will resume Tuesday, July 5, 2022.
