DEADLINE TO APPLY IS AUGUST 7, 2023

The City of Norman is seeking high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who are active in their schools and communities and are interested in learning about local government for the 2023-2024 Norman Youth Council Class. Applications are now being accepted and can be accessed, along with additional program details, at https://www.normanok.gov/city-norman-youth-council.

In addition to providing a completed application, applicants will need to provide two letters of recommendation from adults familiar with their leadership skills and service to the community. Applications are due by August 7, 2023.

Selected applicants will serve a term starting in September 2023 through May 2024 and are limited to two terms of service. The Norman Youth Council will meet the second Monday monthly during the school year from approximately 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. They will have the opportunity to receive briefings from the City of Norman staff about current City programs, tour City facilities and learn more about municipal operations.
