Norman's 4th Fest

The city celebrate Norman Day and Independence Day on July 4th each year with family-friendly activities, a crawling contest, music, food trucks, and fireworks. The day starts at 5 pm and the always amazing fireworks show begins at 9:45 pm.

Zombie Run

Run, jump or crawl your way from zombies in an off-road 5K in the woods of Ruby Grant Park or frolic in the family friendly 1-mile fun run. After the race, enjoy snacks, fun and dancing under the stars!

Veterans Day Celebration

Norman honors its veterans with a Veteran's Day Parade and Memorial Ceremony the Sunday before the holiday. The parade starts at the OU Stephenson Research Center and continues north on Jenkins Avenue to the Veterans Memorial, located at Reaves Park.

The city holds a special community tree lighting starting at Andrews Park and ending at the central library. There is caroling, craft, snacks, and holiday fun. This fun event is in early December.

To get in the Christmas spirit, Norman gets together and celebrates with Winterfest at Legacy Park!  Winterfest is held in early December from
5:30 pm- 7:30 pm with a special fireworks show at the end of the event.

Daddy Daughter Dance

The Daddy Daughter Dance is a winter formal and one of the largest events in Norman. Fathers from all over Oklahoma come to Norman to have a magical evening with their daughters. Daddy Daughter Dance takes place in February at Embassy Suites. There are typically three dances to choose from.
Easter Egg Hunt Kids Gathering Eggs

Easter Egg Hunt

The city holds a community Easter Egg Hunt every year on the Friday before Easter at Andrews Park. Activities start at 5:30pm and the Egg Hunt begins at 6:30pm.
