After School Program

The Irving Recreation Center services grades K-6 at Kennedy, Reagan, and Washington Elementary Schools.

Program Fee: $195 per month per child

Summer Kids Camp

This Day Summer Camp is for ages 5-11 and allows campers to engage social activities with other Campers and safely adventure to field trips in the metro area. The camp will take field trips twice a week, one to the Westwood Family Aquatic Center and one to Family Fun location.

Campers must bring a non-microwavable lunch and drink.

Campers will be provided with a morning and afternoon snack.

Bricks 4 Kids

Bricks 4 Kidz® After School Classes build on the universal popularity of LEGO® Bricks to deliver high quality, educational play that reinforces science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) principals. Every class is a fun, enriching experience for your child, building new projects each week based on a 6-week theme, using the classic bricks loved by generations of children.

It’s a zoo in here! This is a unit sure to delight kids who love creatures. We’ll be building models of snakes, insects, mammals and more. Each week we’ll discuss fascinating facts about the animals we build, from the chameleon that changes colors to the seal model that waddles across the table. Students will love these moving models that celebrate the wonders of the animal kingdom.

Cheer & Hip-Hop Dance Class

Our Cheer and Hip-Hop program focuses on fun routines and modern hip-hop movements with a vivacious urban feel. Our hip-hop portion of the class will focus on rhythm and musicality, how to "find", count music and dance with a team. Our cheer portion of the class will teach various dance and cheer combinations, basic stunts, and fun choreography. Along with these skills, participants will receive daily take home activities that build teamwork, confidence and leadership skills. On the last day, we will provide a performance to showcase what our participants have learned!

Multi Sports Program

Athletes Global Multi-Sports program is designed to introduce young athletes to
a variety of different sports such as basketball, soccer, flag football, sports performance
training, and much more. Athletes will learn the fundamentals and rules
for each sport through drills, skill-based games, and scrimmages. Participants will
get a feel for each game's flow and the skills and athleticism typical to that sport.
This should give them the parents or guardians, better information to decide
what sport or sports to pursue further.

Tai Chi for Health

This gentle form of exercise is as beneficial as more strenuous workouts. It's perfect for all ages and conditions and can be practiced standing or sitting.

Benefits include:

• Improve balance and coordination
• Improve joint health
• Improve focus and concentration

Children get to engage mentally and physically while playing basketball! TOT® classes consist of 3 parts - Athletics! Academics! Agility!

  • Children ages 3-5 will learn 25 TOT ball skills during the training program
  • TOT focuses on academic concepts along with athletic and agility skills
  • TOT classes engage your child mentally, physically, and socially

Thursdays at 5:30 pm

First class starts on September 17th


$35 Registration Fee

The registration fee reserves a spot for your child and
includes a TOT® t-shirt, prizes, a TOT® ball, and a TOT ®
after the completion of the program
