Norman’s Spring Egg Hunt planned for April 7 at Andrews Park

Norman Parks & Recreation Department will host the Annual Spring Egg Hunt on April 7, complete with spring festivities for the entire family to enjoy. The celebration begins at 5:30 p.m. at Andrews Park, 201 W. Daws, with Oh My Gogi Food Truck, yard games, music, sno cones and pictures with the Spring bunny!

The highlight of the evening will be the egg hunt, starting promptly at 6:30 p.m. With “egg-citing” sections for every age group, the event includes options for non-walkers, 2 & under, 3-4, 5-6, 7-8 and 9-11. There will also be an accessibility section, so everyone can participate and enjoy the fun.

"We are excited to provide a fun and safe opportunity for families to come together and celebrate the arrival of spring,” said Jason Olsen, City of Norman Director of Parks & Recreation. “We look forward to seeing the joy and excitement on the faces of children as they participate in the egg hunt and enjoy all the activities we have planned. Our team has been working hard to make this event a success, and we can't wait to share it with our community."

Event goers are reminded to bring baskets to fill with goodies during the egg hunts, which have been coordinated to accommodate all participants.

"We want to ensure that every child has an opportunity to participate in the egg hunt," said Veronica Tracy, City of Norman Recreation Manager. "The accessibility section is designed to provide a safe and comfortable environment for children with special needs, and our staff will be on hand to assist these children and their families."
