City of Norman partners with United Way for upcoming events

The City of Norman is proud to continue supporting the United Way of Norman, which helps provide services to individuals in need through 26 partner nonprofits in the Norman community. The public is welcome to upcoming events and activities benefiting the United Way and coordinated through the City of Norman this season, which are outlined below:

 

 

  • North Base Chili Cook-Off hosted by the City's Line Maintenance Division is happening on 10/28/22. Tickets are $5 and go on sale 10/3/22. It will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 1307 Da Vinci Street in the Line Maintenance Garage Bay. The benefit includes door prizes, desserts, cornhole competition and a bid for throwing a pie-in-the-face! Email Jared.mattern@normanok.gov for more information.

 

  • Rambler Tabletop Charcoal Grill Giveaway is administered by the City of Norman’s Solid Waste Administration team and raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 as many times as desired. Staff members are currently selling tickets and will make a drawing the first week of November. Tickets can be purchased at their office at North Base, 1307 Da Vinci Street, or at the Transfer Station gates, 3901 Chautauqua Avenue.   • Fully Stocked Yeti Cooler Giveaway is coordinated through the City Attorney's Office, 201 W. Gray Street. Raffle tickets are $5 a piece and can be purchased through 10/27/22 during traditional business hours. Winner will be drawn 10/28/22 and multiple entries are allowed. Call 405.217.7700 for more information.
