BNSF Railroad crossing maintenance work scheduled at Eufaula Street crossing the week of September 18, 2023

UPDATE, 9/22/23: BNSF Railway has communicated to the City of Norman that this crossing will remain closed until 9/25/23.

POSTED 9/13/23: The City of Norman has received communication that BNSF Railway intends to close the Eufaula Street rail crossing between James Garner Avenue and Jones Avenue at 6 p.m. on 9/18/2023. Traffic control measures will be in place to direct vehicular traffic to the Duffy Street rail crossing while this work is completed. In addition, signage for pedestrian traffic will be in place to direct pedestrians to the Main Street Rail crossing while this work is completed.

This work is expected to last for a duration of 5 days. The reopening of the Eufaula Street crossing is expected to occur the evening of 9/22/2023.
