Westwood Family Aquatic Center will be closed for the day on Sunday, July 31, 2022, for staff members to host Lifeguard Games – an event which brings together lifeguards to demonstrate skills, teamwork, and unique abilities while engaging in a fun and competitive day of events. Norman lifeguards will showcase their skills and enjoy a day at the Aquatic Center.

“Amid a national lifeguard shortage, it’s important to provide opportunities for lifeguards to showcase their skills and be appreciated for the important work that they do for our community” said Josh Holman, Aquatics Supervisor.

 

BACK TO SCHOOL OPERATING HOURS REMINDER

Weekday open swim will end on 8/5/22 as the Aquatic Center will move to its Back to School Operating Hours in preparation for the school year. Beginning 8/6/22, Open Swim will take place on Saturday and Sunday only; Season Pass holder entry will be at noon and public entry be will at 1 p.m. The pool will close at 6 p.m. Also beginning 8/6/22, morning programs – to include Water Walking, Toddler Time and similar programming – will take place as scheduled from 5:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday –Friday and from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturdays.

The Aquatic Center’s final day of Open Swim will take place on 9/5/22.
