ODOT, Chickasaw Nation Transportation Project in area of I-35 and SH-9

The City of Norman has been made aware of a construction project underway just outside of City limits, managed by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT) in partnership with the Chickasaw Nation, in the area of I-35 and SH-9 that will cause intermittent traffic impacts and delays.

According to ODOT, the $82 million project will involve I-35 and SH-9W interchange reconstruction to improve traffic flow and safety. Construction is tentatively scheduled for completion summer 2026.

Updates should also be made available on their social media channels. The City of Norman will work to reshare relevant information that is received regarding this project from our community partners.
