Norman police have arrested 31-year-old Ezekiel Jackson (DOB: 6/28/1989) in connection to the armed robbery of a business in the 1800 block of W. Lindsey Street on September 16. Jackson was booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on complaints of robbery with a firearm and possession of a firearm after former felony conviction.

NPD responded to a report of a shooting at the business at approximately 4:22 p.m. on September 16. Once on scene, officers located one adult male, later identified as Jackson, with a gunshot wound inside the business. Jackson was transported to an area hospital and has since been released.

The initial investigation shows that Jackson entered the business with a firearm and was in the process of robbing the business when he was shot by an armed employee. 

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
