Starting May 4th the Westwood Family Aquatic Center will be open from 12 pm to 6 pm for you to come pick up season passes if they purchased online, or if you would like to purchase season passes in person.

Parent & Child Classes (ages 6 mo - 3 yrs)

This course is for parents and child to learn about water safety.

Designed to help children become more comfortable in the swimming pool while learning water safety tips and games for the development of your child’s swimming future.

An adult (18 or older) has to be in the water with the child.

Water Fitness Classes

Aqua Zumba

This class blends the Zumba philosophy with water resistance and traditional aqua fitness disciplines into a challenging water-based workout that is cardio condtitioning and body toning. Open to all fitness levels.

Use the water as a gym for the total body. This class is for participation of any fitness level. You need not be a swimmer to benefit from this program. AquaFit classes involve movements in the water which combine the elements of strength training, cardio, and flexibility and the use of equipment to enhance the water fitness experience.

Aquatic Fitness classes offer a safe, comfortable and efficient way for people of all ages, sizes and fitness levels to get and stay fit. The aquatic environment works nearly every muscle group in one workout, helping to build lean muscle tissue and burn body fat.

Exercising in water is very low impact, allowing individuals to participate who might be physically unable to in a traditional exercise environment.

No swimming skills are needed for any of our classes. Most of all, its FUN!

About Westwood Family Aquatic Center

The Westwood Family Aquatic Center is dedicated to the safety and well being of our guests and its staff. Westwood will close in the middle of each day this summer to clean and sanitize the facility. We ask that everyone practice social distancing of at least six feet from those who do not live in your household. If you have traveled to a different state or country, please wait two weeks to visit the park and also check the temperature of you and your family to be sure no one has a fever before entering the facility. Together everyone can do their part to ensure a safe and fun summer at Westwood.

Junior Lifeguard Camp

The Program

Junior Lifeguard Camp is intended to develop future lifeguards. Junior Guards will help support the lifeguard staff, swim instructors and swim coaches. The goal is to introduce the future lifeguards to rescue skills, life support skills and first aid. Participants that complete the course will be eligible to compete in the Junior Lifeguard Games at the end of the season.

Improve life-safety skills, increase confidence and social interaction, promote a healthy lifestyle, accomplish goals and develop the skill necessary to complete a lifeguard training. Junior Guards who are 15 years old will have the opportunity to sit in on lifeguard training Course Exams. If participant completes the Exams, they will receive a lifeguard certification. They will also be able to attend all Westwood Staff in-training and start training for the Junior Lifeguard Games. If the participant turns 16 years old before the summer is over they are eligible to apply for a position at The Westwood Family Aquatics Center.

Parents are expected to attend a brief 10 minute meeting on the first day of camp

Participants will Reveive

  • Includes daily admissions with successful completion of the training.
  • Junior Lifeguard T-shirt.
  • Compete at the Junior Lifeguard Games, which is a skill-based competition against other municipalities; held at Westwood.

10-12 year olds that complete the course will be able to stay at the facility without adult supervision during normal business hours.

Westwood Swim Team


Swimmers must be 5-15 years old and able to swim 25 yards freestyle and backstroke.

Skills they will Develop

Introduction for young swimmers to the fundamentals of competitive swimming. Swimmers will be introduced to the four competitive strokes – butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle.

Improve life-safety skills, increase confidence and social interaction, promote a healthy lifestyle, accomplish goals and develop a competitive spirit with good sportsmanship.

Participants will have the opportunity to compete at non-competitive swim meets on Saturdays.

This meeting is to inform parents and swimmers about the program and to answer any questions.

Westwood Pool Package and Rentals

Rent a Party Zone at Westwood for a birthday party or family get together. Each party area rental is two hours and comes with 15 Day Passes for your guest and can accommodate a party up to 30 guest.

Pool Parties Policies

Each Party Zone has a max capacity of 30 guests. All guests must be wearing a
pool party band. This includes guests that are not swimming.

$100 will be added if the party chooses to bring in any outside food or drinks. Birthday cake, cupcakes or cookies are exempt. Food packages are available on request.

The host of the party should arrive 15 minutes early to check in. Westwood will assign an attendant to your party to help with additional purchases and set up. Once guests have arrived the pool attendant must go over the pool rules.The party attendant will be available to help with cleanup and any final payments. Once you party time limit expires, please feel free to stay and swim. We will just need to clear the party space for the next party. All guests must be at least 48” to ride the Slides.

15 Day Passes are included with your party. Any additional day passes needed for your party will be $5 per person over the age of 4. Parties must be capped at 30 people.

Pool Policies

Birthday Party

  1. No outside food or drinks
  2. Bad weather options:
  • Option 1. Reschedule party
  • Option 2. Get day passes for the amount of people you paid for
  1. You don’t have to leave the park after your party is over but you have to leave the birthday party area
  2. Everyone pays to get into the park. Non-swimmers pay too.

Age Restrictions

  1. Children under 13 year of age may NOT be dropped off at the facility. All children under 13 must have adult supervision at all times.  An adult must remain in the aquatic center at all times.
  2. An adult is considered to be someone who is 18 years of age or older.

General Rules

1. Proper swimming attire is required and cut offs, leotards, biking tights, etc. are not permitted in or around the pool deck.

2. Swim diapers are required for all non-toilet trained patrons.

3. Persons with infectious conditions or contagious diseases such as colds, open sores, the flu, eye infections and similar infectious conditions/contagious diseases are not permitted in the pool.

4. No flotation devices are permitted.

6. Horseplay is not permitted (i.e. running, dunking, pushing, sitting on shoulders, etc.).

7. At the discretion of the Lifeguard, any swimmer may be asked to demonstrate their swimming ability to determine if they are able to use designated area of the pools.

8. Non-Swimmers are required to wear our Coast Guard approved life jacket and stay within arms-length of an adult; 18 years or older. Puddle jumpers are the only life jacket we allow. We have free life jackets for your use.

9. Lifeguards are in place for your safety; show respect by following all lifeguard instructions.

Toddler Pool

  1.  The toddler pool is reserved for children 6 years and under. An adult (18 years or older) must stay within arms-length at all times.
  2. Swim diapers are required for all non-toilet trained patrons

Water Slide

1. Manufactures regulations require that all riders be must 48”or taller to use the water slide. No exceptions will be made.

2. Masks, goggles or glasses are not allowed to be worn while sliding.

3. T-shirts and swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation

are not permitted.

4. Pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride

the slide.

5. Only one user allowed be on the slide platform at a time.

6. Patrons must make sure the plunge pool area is clear and wait for signal from the

lifeguard before entering the slide. Swimming is not permitted in the roped off

section of the slide.

7. Only one rider is permitted on the slide at a time. Patrons are not permitted to ride

with children in their lap.

8. The slide must be ridden feet first.

9. Hands and feet must be kept inside the slide at all times.

10. Diving into/off of, kneeling, changing positions, slowing down, stopping, forming

chains or sliding down head first is prohibited at all times.

11. Catching children as they exit the slide is not permitted.

12. Patrons must exit the water immediately after using the slide.

13. The water slide may be closed at the discretion of the Aquatic Staff.

Lazy River

1. The number of people allowed in the current channel will be determined by the

Lifeguard on duty.

2. Sitting, standing, diving off of, or hanging on the wall is prohibited.

3. A capable/experienced swimmer must accompany children who are non-swimmers.

A Lifeguard will determine non-swimmer capability.
