All lanes of Elm Avenue will be closed between Lindsey Street and Parsons Avenue from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday for emergency waterline repairs. Drivers should plan extra travel time and locate an alternate route.

Porter Avenue Narrows to One Lane in Each Direction Beginning This Weekend

Drivers should expect the following changes on Porter Avenue between Main Street and Johnson Street this weekend for ongoing work on the Porter Avenue and Acres Street Intersection 2019 Bond Project.

Jones Avenue closes between E. Main Street and E. Tonhawa Street beginning Monday

Jones Avenue will be closed to through traffic between E. Tonhawa Street and E. Main Street beginning Monday, January 4th for water line work. This closure is expected to last three weeks, weather permitting.

New Recycle Center Hub Opens at City Transfer Station

Norman residents have a new option for recycling with the opening of the new Recycle Center Hub this week. The Hub, located at the City of Norman Transfer Station at 3901 S. Chautauqua Road, will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

City Launches New User-Friendly Utility Billing Portal Monday

The City of Norman is set to launch a new utility billing software on Monday, October 19. The new program will modernize the City’s outdated billing system providing more digital access for customers to manage usage and make payments more efficiently.

Cleveland County Recycle Center Moves to Westwood Recreation Complex

The Cleveland County Recycle Drop-off Center has relocated to the Westwood Recreation Complex due to major renovations at the County Fairgrounds. Norman recyclers can find the new facility at 2430 Westport Drive just west of the tennis courts.

Electronics Recycling Event Scheduled for October 17

The City of Norman is hosting an electronic waste event at Reaves Park, 2501 Jenkins Ave, October 17 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for Norman residents wishing to recycle their old electronic devices. The event is free and open to all Norman residents.
