The City of Norman has been made aware of scams circulating by email in which bad actors pose as City officials to retain payment via fake invoices. Emails may include City insignia or reference municipal contracts that exist.

With few exceptions, requests from the City of Norman for payment will come through postal mail. Citizens are cautioned against acting upon any unexpected digital mail from the City of Norman. Citizens are encouraged to contact the City of Norman directly to confirm legitimacy.
