Passing of NPD Officer Jenny Bryan

It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the passing of Master Police Officer Jenny Bryan. Jenny passed away today after a long, brave battle against cancer. Jenny fought this courageous battle against cancer with the same strength, resilience, and commitment that marked her service to NPD and our community.

“The loss of Jenny is profound,” said Norman Police Chief Kevin Foster. “She faced her battles with cancer with extraordinary courage, just as she approached every day in service to our community. Her dedication and spirit leave a lasting impact on our department.”

Jenny graduated from the 54th Norman Police Academy and served Norman for eight years. A pillar of profound strength and unwavering work ethic, Jenny touched the lives of our entire department and so many throughout the community. She was a dedicated member of our Patrol and Training Divisions, serving as a fitness and firearms instructor and on numerous special teams.

“We will forever be grateful for Jenny’s many contributions, impacts, and friendship,” said Chief Foster. “Jenny will be deeply missed and remembered always.”

To honor her service and commitment to community, Jenny’s police vehicle is currently parked in front of the Norman Police Department at 112 W. Daws Street. The public is welcome to visit this temporary memorial and leave items honoring her life and public service legacy.

Information regarding memorial services will be shared as it becomes available.
