The Norman community has been named among the 2025 Top 100 Best Places to Live by Livability.com, a data-driven list "showcasing the nation's most vibrant and livable small to mid-sized cities."
Norman stands out for its performance in environment, transportation and economy categories. Based on about 100 data points, cities were evaluated in various categories, also including: Amenities, cost of living and education. Norman "combines the charm of a small town with the amenities of much larger cities" and the city's lived mission of Building An Inclusive Community was clearly illustrated in report findings.
"In a time when rising costs are a significant concern for many Americans, Norman's inclusion on this list underscores its commitment to creating a community where people can thrive," the Livability Report reads.
Additional details cite the significance of Norman being home to the University of Oklahoma and offering excellent health care options: "Forward-thinking isn’t just happening on campus; the city has a reputation as an excellent place for entrepreneurs who are driving higher-paying jobs and economic growth citywide."
