The Norman Police Department (NPD) responded to a report of a collision involving a minibike in the area of 12th Avenue SE and Woodcreek Drive at approximately 3:42 a.m. today.

The initial investigation indicates a 20-year-old male was riding a minibike on 12th Avenue SE when he was struck by another vehicle who reported not seeing the minibike before the collision. 

The minibike rider was transported to an area hospital in critical condition where he remains hospitalized. 

The driver of the other vehicle was not injured in the collision.

The collision remains under investigation by the NPD/OUPD Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team.
