The Norman Police Department (NPD) arrested 25-year-old Zachary King on Thursday in connection with the stabbing in the 200 block of N. Flood Avenue.
NPD responded to a reported stabbing in the 200 block of N. Flood Avenue at approximately 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Once on scene, officers located one adult male with a stab wound to his abdomen.
The initial investigation indicates that two individuals become engaged in an altercation at 3:30 a.m. Wednesday when King presented a knife and stabbed the other individual before walking away from the area.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment of injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.
Officers located King on Thursday at approximately 11:30 a.m. in the 200 block of Vicksburg Avenue. He was arrested without incident and booked into the Cleveland County Detention Center on a complaint of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
The incident remains under investigation by the NPD Criminal Investigations Division.
