Norman Animal Welfare Center Closed through December 28

The Norman Animal Welfare Adoption Center will be closed through December 28.

Following a confirmed exposure of COVID-19, the facility will immediately close to allow staff to quarantine and complete required testing. Contact tracing efforts have identified no known exposures to any guests who may have recently visited the facility. Remaining staff will continue to provide daily care for the animals within our custody. The facility will continue daily sanitizing efforts prior to reopening to the public.

The closure of the facility will have no significant impacts on our departments responses to investigations of dangerous or injured animals within the community.

The health and safety of our employees, our visitors, our families, and the animals we care for each day remains our top priority. We appreciate the communities understanding during this brief pause and look forward to reopening on Monday, December 28.

As always, all of our adoptable animals may be viewed herePlease contact Norman Animal Welfare at 405-292-9736 to make a viewing appointment to occur upon reopening.
