On July 13, 2026, Southwest Water Works will begin the James Garner Water Line Replacement project along James Garner Avenue generally from Duffy Street north to Main Street.  This work will require intermittent lane closures in the area to provide an adequate, safe work area for the contractor. The work associated with the project is expected to last for a duration of 8 months.

Replacement of the water lines within this corridor will eliminate future conflicts with the upcoming Public Works project and will reduce the likelihood of water system impacts to the new street improvements.  Residents are kindly reminded to adhere to traffic control measures in place and plan extra time when traveling through this work area. Relevant updates will be made available at Normanok.gov as the project moves forward.
