Fourth of July Celebration postponed, anticipated for Labor Day weekend

The City of Norman Parks and Recreation Department has decided to postpone the annual 2020 Fourth of July Celebration in Reaves Park. The decision to postpone was made out of an abundance of caution for the potential spread of the COVID-19 virus in large group settings.

The event is tentatively rescheduled for Sunday, September 6 over Labor Day weekend. The rescheduled event featuring a fireworks display and performances from local artists will serve as an opportunity to celebrate Norman businesses, health care workers, and frontline workers along with the chance to come together as a community again. More information will be provided when details are known.
