City of Norman launches new podcast for residents

On West Gray available for download on major streaming networks

Residents have a new way to stay informed and engaged with the launch of On West Gray, a podcast centered around all things City of Norman and produced through the Office of Communications.

The podcast launched May 12, 2022, with the first episode featuring Chief Diversity & Equity Officer Cinthya Allen and highlighting the Diversity Roundtable initiative – a first-time program that will bring residents together for intentional relationship building with diverse communities. On West Gray is now available for download on all major streaming networks or through the City’s website, alongside show transcriptions.

“We would like to maximize available avenues of communication for our residents,” said Tiffany Vrska, Chief Communications Officer. “We hope to offer listening that will not only keep people in the know, but that will encourage more civic involvement and collaborative opportunities between city government and the residents we serve.”

The show will serve to spotlight new programming, ballot initiatives, major City projects and more, with an intention of answering frequently-asked-questions and showcasing community partnerships. Podcast guests will include City staff as well as everyday members of the community. Feedback, questions or commentary regarding the podcast can be sent into publicaffairs@normanok.gov.
