The City of Norman invites families and community members to hop into spring at the annual Spring Egg Hunt, a beloved tradition hosted by Norman Parks and Recreation.
The event will take place from 5-7 p.m. on April 3 at Andrews Park, 201 W. Daws St. Festivities will kick off at 5 PM and feature a variety of family-friendly activities, including a food truck, yard games, sno cones, and photo opportunities with the Spring Bunny. There is no cost to attend.
To ensure an inclusive and enjoyable experience, egg hunt areas will be divided by age group, including designated spaces for non-walkers and accessible areas for participants of all abilities.
The highlight of the evening comes when sirens from the Norman Police Department and Norman Fire Department signal the start of the hunt.
"It's such a high-energy event for all of Norman's kiddos," said Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator Jeff Moody. "Absolute chaos and joy!"
Participants should bring their own baskets and prepare for an evening full of excitement, treats, and community connection. Due to the nature of the event, participants are encouraged to arrive early and be ready, as the egg hunt begins promptly and moves quickly.
Norman Parks and Recreation staff will continue to monitor weather conditions leading up to the event, and attendees are encouraged to check the Norman Parks and Recreation Facebook page (Facebook.com/normanokparks) for the latest updates.
