Annual Neighborhood Meeting planned at City’s Development Center

The City of Norman Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program adheres to a robust Citizen Participation Plan in the development of policies and programs benefitting the low and moderate income citizens of Norman. As part of this effort, an annual meeting is held with the residents within the CDBG Target Area. This designated area is defined within the 2020-2024 Consolidated Plan and is reviewed and adjusted during the Consolidated Plan process; a map of the current Target Area can be found here. The purpose of this meeting is to allow for residents to be able to meet in-person representatives from various offices of the City of Norman, including the Norman Police Department and the Code Compliance Division, and discuss neighborhood issues they may be experiencing.

The CDBG Neighborhood Meeting for the Third Year Action Plan will be held at 6 p.m. 1/18/23 in the City of Norman Development Center, 225 N. Webster. This building was previously the Norman Public Library and recently remodeled to house multiple city departments.

In addition to the City of Norman staff identified above, representatives from Neighborhood Alliance will also be present to discuss neighborhood organization possibilities. Questions regarding the CDBG Program or this meeting can be directed to Lisa Krieg, CDBG Grants Manager, at lisa.krieg@normanok.gov or (405)366-5464.
