Due to a stormwater pipe failure, a portion of 156th Avenue SE between State Highway 9 and Cedar Lane Road has been closed. Public Works crews will begin replacing the stormwater pipe under 156th Ave SE, approximately three quarters of mile south of the intersection of 156th Ave SE and State HWY 9, on June 9, 2025. Repair work is expected to take approximately three days to complete, depending on weather conditions.

This portion of 156th Ave SE will remain closed to thru-traffic until repair work is completed. A detour route is available on 132nd Ave SE. Motorists should adhere to all signage placed in the area.
