The Norman Police Department with host its next Coffee with a Cop virtually on Thursday, February 24. The event is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Facebook Live. All community members are invited to join us virtually through the Norman Police Department's Facebook page. 

The majority of contacts law enforcement has with the public happen during emergencies or emotional situations. Those situations are not always the most effective times for relationship building with the community, and some community members may feel that officers are unapproachable on the street. Coffee with a Cop allows community members to ask questions and learn more about the department’s work in Norman’s neighborhoods, breaking down barriers and providing an opportunity for a relaxed, one-on-one interaction.

The monthly event is held on different days of the week and at different times of day each month to ensure our residents have equal opportunity to come together with their local police officers to discuss community issues and build relationships in an informal, neutral space. We hope to return to in-person events in March.
