City Council approves five propositions to go to community vote in April 2026

Election Day is April 7, 2026

Norman City Council recently approved multiple propositions to go to a vote of the people in April 2026. Propositions pertain to the renewal of a Streets Maintenance Program, Guest Tax, City Charter changes, and a permanent shelter bond. Learn more through links below. For Ward 5 residents, there will also be a run-off election between Dianna Hutzel and Trey Kirby on April 7. View a City Council Ward Map here.

Learn more about voting, check voter registration status or view sample ballots as they become available through the Oklahoma State Election Board. To participate in the April 7th Election, residents must be registered to vote no later than March 13. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is March 23, and early voting will be available on April 2 and April 3.
