Regional Safety Action Plan calls for community input

Residents encouraged to complete ACOG Survey by 6/30/24

Residents are invited to complete a survey from the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments regarding safety matters by June 30, 2024. Individuals can access the survey at ACOGSafetyPlan.com.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG) was awarded a Safe Streets for All Planning Grant (SS4A) from the U.S. Department of Transportation to develop a Regional Safety Action Plan for the Oklahoma City Metro Region. This region includes the City of Norman and Cleveland County. By completing this regional plan, ACOG is providing member entities with the opportunity to apply for Federal Safety Funds such as are available for the SS4A Grant program. As part of the planning process, the consultant preparing the Regional Safety Action Plan has developed a survey to gather public input from the region on the safety issues that are of public importance, primarily involving traffic and transportation. ACOG has asked that member entities, such as the City of Norman, encourage community members to complete the survey.
