Fishing Derby 2020

Spend Independence Day fishing with us at the NE Lions Park! No license or registration necessary, just bring the kids and start casting! The Derby is from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m., but feel free to fish the whole day! The OK Wildlife Department will be on-site to help any anglers. Children can catch up to 2 catfish and 10 bluegills, must be supervised.

We are Parks and Recreation Month 2020

It’s July, and that means it's Parks & Recreation Month! We will be celebrating our favorite month by highlighting all the great things about Norman’s parks and the people who work hard to make sure it stays beautiful! #WeAreParksAndRec

Want to get outside and still practice safe physical distancing during Parks & Recreation Month? Our staff at Norman Parks & Rec is working hard to ensure a safe experience for everyone! #WeAreParksAndRec

If you’re planning on visiting one of our 55 neighborhood and community parks today, snap a photo and use #LoveMyParks and share it on social media! Make sure to continue to use social distancing while enjoying our recreational areas!

Happy Parks & Recreation Month! Did You Know? The City of Norman Parks & Recreation Department facilitates 64 neighborhood and community parks, 5 recreation centers, a golf course and driving range, 2 disc golf courses, a water park, and 30+ tennis and pickleball courts? #WeAreParksAndRec
