The following honors and recognitions are offered annually at
the Oklahoma Neighborhood Conference:
Oklahoma Neighborhood Hall of Fame
Honors those who have devoted their time and talents to make substantial and
enduring contributions to their neighborhoods. Nominees must be
neighborhood volunteers.
Neighborhood Improvement Award
Recognizes groups that have improved social, physical, and/or economical
conditions in their neighborhoods. Examples of achievement might include
street lighting improvements, organization of periodic clean-ups or social
activities and the like.
Neighborhood Newsletter Award
Recognizes neighborhoods for their communication skills. Examples of
achievement would include: publishing interesting and informative
neighborhood newsletters regularly.
Neighborhood Partnership Award
Recognizes groups that maximize impact by partnering with other organizations
such as schools, businesses, or non-profit organizations to improve the quality
of life in their neighborhood.
