Public Open House to Discuss the Porter Avenue Corridor Plan and Zoning Overlay District

Purpose. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the revised Porter Avenue Corridor Plan and the proposed Porter Corridor Zoning Overlay District. During the meeting City staff will discuss the adoption of the Porter Avenue Corridor Plan and citizens will have the opportunity for to offer input. The brief project presentation and Q&A will be followed by an opportunity to view project graphics and to discuss the plan and zoning ordinance with staff and members of the Porter Corridor Steering Committee.
The attached information will be considered by City Council on 1st reading July 27, 2010 and for adoption at the August 10th City Council meeting:

Purpose. City Council will consider adoption of the Porter Avenue Corridor Plan and a Zoning Overlay District for Porter Avenue establishing a line between residential and commercial properties in the Porter Avenue Corridor Study area and enacting limited design guidelines for areas where commercial land uses are adjacent to residential land uses.
