Clarion & Associates presented the first of a series of alternatives for various segments of the community.

Purpose of the Meeting:

	Review of Committee Meeting #4 (February 2004)
	Presentation of Alternative Development Scenarios
	Small group discussions on the Alternative Development Scenarios

(All Plan Forum members – please review and bring the Alternative Development Scenario background materials on the small group discussion topics)

2. Presentation of Alternative Development Scenarios (45 minutes)

3. Breakout Group Exercise – Review of Alternative Development Scenarios (60 minutes)

Purpose: To allow Committee members the opportunity to review and discuss the Alternative Development Scenarios through dialogue in small groups in order to provide direction to the planning team on a preferred scenario.

Directions:  Please review and discuss each of the alternatives for the four Planning Areas contained on the mapped alternatives and the accompanying narrative. You may discuss them at the broad Planning Area level (i.e., areas 1, 2, 3, and 4) or at the subarea level (i.e. 1a. 1b. 1c.) as your group desires. Provide us with your comments and direction by providing us with the following for each of the Planning Areas:

1. What does your group like about each alternative?

2. What does your group not like about each alternative?

3. Is there anything that you would change for an alternative to make it more acceptable to the group?

4. Does your group have a preference for each Planning Area (or subarea, as appropriate)?

5. Breakout Group Exercise – Discussion of Other Changes (15 minutes)

In addition to the areas we have identified within the four Planning Areas, are there any other areas within the City that your group would propose for land use changes? If so, where are they, and what changes would you recommend (and why)?
