A committee of four Councilmembers and three citizens has drafted a proposed floodplain ordinance.  The Committee is seeking public input on the proposed ordinance.  Copies of the ordinance are available from the Public Works Department, the City Clerks office,  and the Norman Public Library.  You may also download a copy of the annotated and the proposed ordinance by clicking the link below:

Interested parties should submit their comments using the following protocol:

1. State the part of the ordinance that your comment applies to.
2. Explain your comment (e.g., why it is of concern or why you like it).
3. For all comments of concern, suggest specific alternative language.
4. For all comments of concern, state why the proposed alternative language would be better.
5. Include your name, address and group that you represent (if any)—anonymous submittals will not be considered.
