Water Treatment Operations and Maintenance

Plant Operations                                              

We rely on a staff of 12 personnel to operate the Water Treatment Plant 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We rotate the shifts among the staff to insure that the water quality is met per State and Federal regulations as well as for our citizens. In addition to operating the plant, the staff (including a Crew Chief and Plant Mechanic) perform all the routine maintenance associated with keeping the system up and running 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Our staff also operates and maintains 36 water wells that provide approximately 1.7 billion gallons of water to the citizens of Norman.
