Temporary Closure of Sections of 24th Avenue Southeast Starting on Sept. 24

Beginning on Monday, Sept. 24, 24th Avenue Southeast will be temporarily closed between East Alameda Street and East Lindsey Street. The closure will be from the hours of 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays only. Due to the extensive scale of construction necessary for the relocation of electrical transmission lines in this section of roadway, the closure of the entire roadway is necessary to allow OG&E crews to safely relocate their transmission power poles for the 24th Avenue Southeast Roadway Widening Bond Project. Weather permitting, OG&E anticipates project completion, on, or before, Oct. 15, 2018.
Signs and detours will be displayed to direct the traveling public to detour routes on 36th Avenue Southeast. Local traffic will be allowed access to the area during construction to allow property access for residents. The road will be closed to through traffic until the work is complete.
