Greenbelt Commission
Update as of June 2010
A subcommittee of the Greenbelt Commission has worked with staff over the past couple of years to develop a proposed amended Greenbelt Commission ordinance. A draft of the document was presented to the public at the January 25th Greenbelt Commission meeting. Comments from that meeting have been reviewed by the commission and some changes have been made. The proposed amended Greenbelt Ordinance was presented to the City Council Planning and Community Development Committee (PCDC) on April 9th along with a draft of the proposed Greenbelt Enhancement Statement. Modified draft ordinances were presented to the PCDC on May 21st and again on June 11th along with a more refined draft Greenbelt Enhancement Statement. Greenway Master Plan-The City Council accepted the draft Greenway Master Plan in conjunction with the Storm Water Master Plan at their November 10th City Council meeting. The Greenbelt Commission has identified several modifications that will need to be made before the plan is ready to present to the Community as a final document. It is anticipated that modifications will be completed before 2011.
