24th Avenue NW between Rock Creek and Corporate Center Drive Reduced to One Lane in Each Direction

The 24th Avenue NW and Radius Way intersection improvement project began this week with construction on the west side of the intersection. Between Rock Creek Road and Corporate Center Drive, 24th Avenue NW is reduced to one lane in each direction. Southbound traffic is diverted to the east side of 24th Avenue NW.

If weather cooperates, the construction on the west side of the intersection should be complete in March.

The 24th Avenue NW and Radius Way intersection improvement project is an $800,000 street improvement project that includes traffic signals, turning lanes, stamped and colored concrete pavement, sidewalks and ramps, and decorative street light poles. The intersection will be similar to several other intersections in the University North Park such as the 24th Avenue NW at Conference Drive, and 24th Avenue and Rock Creek Road.

Future phases of the project will move the traffic to the west side of 24th Avenue NW for work to complete the east half of the intersection. The intersection construction portion of the project should be complete in April, with the traffic signal installation completed in May.

The primary contractor is A-Tech Paving of Oklahoma City.
