Registration Open for Irving Explorer Camp

Registration is underway for Explorer Camp at the Irving Recreation Center. Summer camp is May 30 through August 11 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. The camp is for children from age five to 11. Cost is $125 per week, per child.

96th Avenue NE to close between Arrowhead and East Tecumseh Thursday

Thursday at approximately 9 a.m., 96th Avenue NE will close between Arrowhead Drive and East Tecumseh Road for a project that includes installing cross drains and grading along this mile segment of the roadway. The portion of the construction that requires closure of the road is expected to take two weeks. The entire project should be complete by August, weather permitting.

Mill and overlay projects begin Monday on Imhoff Road and Constitution Street

An improvement project to mill and overlay the existing pavement on segments of Imhoff Road and Constitution Street begins Monday. Work on Imhoff Road is between Classen Blvd and 24th Avenue SE. The segment of Constitution Street is from Jenkins Avenue to Oak Tree Avenue.

New traffic signal to be activated at 24th Ave NW and Radius Way

A new traffic signal will be activated at the intersection of 24th Avenue NW and Radius Way starting Tuesday, if weather permits. The traffic signal will become active after 9 a.m. and will control all movements through the intersection.

Parsons Street to close Friday between College and Chautauqua

Parsons Street will close to through traffic between College Avenue and Chautauqua Avenue from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday for removal of two hazardous trees.

The sidewalks in the area will also be closed to pedestrian traffic.
