Answer: Strategic Planning is the process where goals of the city are achieved through community and leadership dialogue. Strategic Planning focuses the efforts of citizens and government on specific priorities within the realm of the city.

Answer: The meetings are essential for realizing the goals and priorities of the community. Challenges, concerns, and goals of the city are identified and addressed during these meetings. These meetings help formulate the steps to be taken to address and manage the process of change in the city.

Answer: These meetings are designed to address the concerns and goals of the community. These meetings would be an appropriate place to voice the visions and aspirations that you have for the city of Norman. The aim of these meetings is to turn the main concerns of the citizens into policy actions for the government.

Question: 4. What is the difference between Strategic Planning and the 2025 Land Use and Transportation Plan?
Answer: The Norman City Council adopted Resolution R-0405-39 which made the 2025 City Plan for Norman effective December 16, 2004. Unlike the 2025 Land Use and Transportation Plan, Strategic Planning focuses on a smaller time span to achieve goals outlined by citizens through a forum of citizen and government dialogue about the city.

Question: 5.What is the Strategic Plan?
Answer: Unlike the 2025 Land Use and Transportation Plan, the Strategic Plan is not a static document but changes reflecting the desires and changes in the community. The Strategic Plan is a way to update the long term vision of the community reflecting the changing concerns of the community. The Strategic Plan identifies the commitment of the city to the vision outlined by the citizens.

Answer: These meetings will be held September 21, October 26, and November 30 from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Norman High School in the Commons area accessible through the main south entrance.
